Welcome to the official website for Monk Hesleden Parish Council.

Monk Hesleden Parish consists of a number of Wards; Blackhall Colliery, Blackhall Rocks, Hesleden, High Hesleden and Monk Hesleden. The majority of the population is based in Blackhall Colliery and Blackhall Rocks; these are linear ex-coalfield villages which lie between Horden and Hartlepool on the East Durham Coast.

The Parish Council has 13 serving Councillors representing the above villages. They meet on a monthly basis to deal with issues facing residents and strive to maintain and improve the quality of services and facilities it provides.
